For the Gentleman
Sometimes browsing an antique store is not a "family" affair. Seems some men just don't like to shop at all, let alone for antiques. Well we'd like to cure that by offering the gentleman a section of the store they can call their very own.

Our guy section is up on the store's loft. Up here you will find some appropriate "den" furniture, items for the game room, bits of fun for the garage. We like to stock vitage hand woodworking tools such as planes, saws, chisels and odd stuff. Additionally you may find vintage electronic or automotive tools that can be used or displayed.
|
| Nothing sets the den atmosphere more than old fishing equipment and we always try to keep a good selection of lures, rods, reels and creels on hand for your special decorating projects. You'll find pieces of art that can best be appreciated by the man of the cabin. Native American, sportsman, old-west, militaria...we hunt high and low for this stuff. You can also find repro and authentic vintage signage up here.

The centerpiece of our guy area is the Old Town Coleman Center & Museum. Everyone has heard of The Coleman Company and (we believe) everyone has used a Coleman lantern or stove at least once in their life. Up in the museum you'll see stuff you didn't know Coleman made.

William C Coleman started his company in 1901. Over the past 100+ years this great American company had made gasoline-powered household lighting systems, lamps, lantern, irons, kitchen ranges, camp stoves, military burners and a ton of other things. During the 1930s they also produced some very beautiful and "deco" electical appliances. In the Old Town Coleman Center & Museum you will find a very pleasing display of many of these items. A visit to our antique store will certainly bring back memories of camping, fishing, or the visit to grandma's house! |
